Appeal for information following two business burglaries in Congleton

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and video footage following two burglaries at a building society in Congleton.
The first incident occurred at around 3.30am on Saturday 21 June, when police were called to reports of an alarm activation at Nationwide on Bridge Street, Congleton. On arrival officers found that an unknown offender had gained access to the building via a first-floor window.
CCTV footage showed the offender searching the premises before fleeing the scene empty handed.
Then, at 4.26am on Tuesday 23June, police were called to reports of a break in at the same premises. On arrival officers confirmed that unknown offenders had forced entry into the premises via a fire escape.
It is unknown at this time whether anything was stolen during the incident.
