Yesterday (24 June) at 7.16pm emergency services attended Copster Lane following reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a tractor. 

The motorcyclist, a 44-year-old-man, was treated by the ambulance service but sadly died at the scene. His family has been informed, and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.  

The driver of the tractor remained at the scene and continuing to assist officers with their enquiries.   

Sergeant John Taylor of the Serious Collisions Unit said: "As we continue to investigate this collision which has very sadly led to a man's death, we’re keen to hear from any witnesses who are yet to speak to officers. 

"We're also keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage of the collision, or the motorcycle or tractor prior to the collision."
