On Tuesday 31 December at 6.20am we were called to Dearne Road in Rotherham following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian.

It is believed that a black Vauxhall Mokka was travelling in the direction towards Bolton Upon Dearne when it has collided with a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 75-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition. The driver of the car remained on scene and is co-operating with officers.
