Detectives are appealing for information after a deliberate fire at an address on Keilder Close, Redcar.  

The incident happened shortly after 4am this morning, Friday 5th August, and extensive damage was caused to the property.  

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident after the occupant managed to escape safely from the address.  

Police are appealing for anyone with information, dash cam or CCTV footage which could assist to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 137420.
