Appeal after Boy Robbed in Stewart Park, Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after an incident where
a 17-year-old boy was assaulted and robbed in Stewart Park in Middlesbrough. 

The incident happened around 7:40pm on Monday 20th September. 

The victim was cycling through the park when a group of male youths approached him,
pushed him from his bike and punched and kicked him before making off with his
bag and the contents. 

The group then made off towards the museum within the grounds of the park. 

Officers would like to appeal to any witnesses who may have been in the park at the time
of the incident or anyone who may have dash cam footage of the group leaving
the park. 

The first suspect is described as a white male, around 17 years old, 5ft 5” tall,
of medium build with brown hair and wearing a bright orange top. He spoke with
a local accent. 

The second suspect is described as a white male, 15-16 years old, around 5ft 11” tall, broad
build and wearing all dark clothing. He also spoke with a local accent. 

Two other male suspects were dressed all in black and the group had two bikes which
were dark in colour. 

The stolen bag is described as a bright blue Reebok bag with a net bottle holder on the side, which had personal items inside. 

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with further information is asked
