Appeal after Burglary in Eaglescliffe

Police are appealing for information and witnesses after four males were reported to have broken into a property on Broomfield Avenue, Eaglescliffe. 

The incident happened around 6:50pm on Tuesday 25th October, when a male approached an address and upon him realising that it was unoccupied he used his phone, leading to several other males arriving in a dark Audi A3, who then approached the rear of the premises and broke in.  

One male stayed within the Audi, driving back and forth on
Butterfield Drive.  

Several thousands of pounds worth of sentimental jewellery was stolen, including a ladies 18 carat white gold diamond ring, a World War one watch, a Breightlin silver watch, several gold chain necklaces, a gold chain bracelet and emerald and diamond jewellery, aswell as other sentimental items.  

Digital appliances and cash were also stolen.  

The suspects then made off in a vehicle along Butterfield
Drive around 7:05pm.  

The four male suspects are described as:
1.  Male wearing a navy blue puffer style jacket, light blue jeans, a grey woollen neck warmer, dark coloured hat and orange gloves.
2.  Male wearing a navy blue puffer style jacket, light coloured jeans, a dark hat, black and white Adidas trainers and a blue medical mask.
3. Male wearing a navy blue puffer style jacket, light coloured jeans and a woollen style bobble hat with a white geometric pattern.
4. Male with a blue and brown block coloured jacket, light coloured jeans and wearing a blue medical mask. 

Officers believe there were several people within the area
at the time of the incident who may be able to assist the investigation. 

Detectives would appeal to anyone with information or anyone who may have CCTV or dash cam of the Audi A3 or the four suspects on Butterfield Drive/Broomfield Avenue to contact them on 101, quoting incident number 192421.
