Police are appealing for footage and witnesses after an incident on Gunnergate Lane, Middlesbrough.

The incident happened around 10:15pm on Monday 17th October as a 15-year-old girl walked along the road and was stopped by a male in a silver car, who attempted to

persuade her to get into his vehicle.

A 59-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the

incident and has been bailed with conditions whilst enquiries continue.

Anyone with dash cam or CCTV footage or anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Middlesbrough CID on 101, quoting incident number 186864.
