Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted and robbed of an electric scooter in Stockton.  

The 21-year-old man was punched and his scooter was stolen between 9:30pm and 9:45pm on Sunday 22nd August on Bishopton Road West, near the junction with The Avenue in Stockton.  

The male suspect is described as white, of stocky build, aged between 20-25 years old and was wearing a dark hooded top with it pulled over his head.  

A black and grey electric scooter was taken, which is an Xiaomi Mi 1S electric scooter with an orange throttle. 

Officers would like to appeal to any witnesses, or anyone with dash cam or CCTV footage, or anyone who may have been offered the scooter for sale, to get in touch on 101,

quoting incident number 141644.
