Detectives are appealing for information after a report of

a firearms discharge at a property on Collingham Avenue in Middlesbrough in the early hours of this morning (Thursday 15th May).

Around 4:35am, officers received a report that a firearms

discharge had taken place and a BMW had been set alight at a property.

Fortunately, no one was injured. Suspects are believed to have made off in a vehicle. High visibility patrols will be carried out in the area to reassure the public.

Anyone who may have concerns or information is encouraged to speak to these officers, or call 101.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who may have seen the

incident, or may have CCTV or dash cam footage, is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 086900.
