Police are appealing for witnesses or dash cam footage of a collision on the A66, near Teesside Retail Park.

The collision happened around 9am on Wednesday 19th May on the A66 westbound, just prior to the retail park, involving a black Peugeot 207 which was
travelling west along the A66 and a black Volkswagen Golf which was joining the
A66 from the A19.

A collision occurred involving both vehicles, which then led to the Peugeot colliding with the central reservation.

The driver of the black Volkswagen Golf did not stop at the scene.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the Peugeot, including two young children travelling in the vehicle.

Anyone with dash cam footage can upload it directly here:

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who may have dash cam footage is asked to contact PC Ian Calvert from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit, on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number 080060.
