Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after a man approached a young girl in Hartlepool and attempted to sexually assault her.  

The incident took place around 5pm on Monday 13th October on Warren Road, when the man said suggestive comments to the 12-year-old girl before attempting to touch her arm and chest.  

The suspect is described as a white male, aged 30-40 years old, with buzz cut blonde hair and clean shaven. He was wearing a camouflage-style coat.

The man then made off along Warren Road towards Winterbottom Avenue. Officers have carried out enquiries including CCTV. There were a number of vehicles driving along the road around this time and officers would encourage drivers who think they may have seen the man to check dash cam footage and contact Cleveland Police with any information.
