Officers are appealing for witnesses and information following a collision in Redcar, whereby a vehicle did not stop at the scene.

The incident happened on Milbank Terrace at the junction of West Dyke Road just after 2pm on Wednesday 27th August.

A white vehicle failed to stop at the scene and an 82-year-old male pedestrian sustained a fractured eye socket and cheekbone as a result of the collision. He received hospital treatment for his injuries.

Any witnesses to the incident or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident, is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting reference 163618.
