Appeal after Woman Robbed in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery was 
reported in Middlesbrough. 

The incident happened around 12:30pm on Tuesday 16th August at the junction of Marton Burn Road and Keith Road. 

The victim, a woman aged in her thirties, was walking on
Keith Road and as she approached the junction of Marton Burn Road and Keith Road she felt a kick to her back which caused he to stumble into a wall.  

A male on a bicycle then grabbed her purse from within
her coat pocket, containing cash, a bank card and a driving licence.  The suspect then cycled away towards Saltersgill Avenue.  

He is described as a male, around 5ft 9” tall, of slim to
medium build and wearing a black Under Armour tracksuit and a face covering, possibly a balaclava. The suspect was on a matt grey mountain bike which had black wheels, and a distinctive illuminous yellow and orange seat.   

Any witnesses to the incident or anyone who may have
information regarding the identity of the suspect, or anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage which may assist the investigation, is asked to contact Detective Constable Itsharm Ramzan from Middlesbrough CID on 101, quoting incident number 145235.
