Officers are appealing for information and anyone with any relevant dash cam footage following a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The collision occurred on Wednesday 8th April shortly after 10am on Ormesby Bank between Fairfield Avenue and the A174 involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

It was reported that a silver vehicle collided with the pedestrian before leaving the scene. The male pedestrian was taken to hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.

A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and dangerous driving and he is currently in police custody.

Extensive enquiries are underway, and detectives are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with any relevant dash cam or CCTV footage.
