Appeal for footage and information following incident in Middlesbrough

Detectives are appealing for information and for anyone with relevant CCTV or dash cam footage following an incident in Middlesbrough.
It was reported that a vehicle collided with a pedestrian at around 11.55am on Tuesday 21st April on Borough Road, Middlesbrough.
The pedestrian suffered injuries which did not require hospital treatment. The vehicle also collided with a parked car, causing damage.
Following this, additional reports were received of an ongoing fight between several men, some believed to be armed with bladed weapons.
Officers swiftly attended the scene and enquiries are ongoing. A 27‑year‑old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm and affray, and he currently remains in police custody.
As part of extensive enquiries, officers have searched residential properties and recovered what is believed to be a significant quantity of controlled drugs.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector John Bonner, who is overseeing the investigation, said: “I understand this incident may cause some concern, but at this stage we believe it was targeted.
“Officers attended swiftly and a man was arrested and remains in custody while enquiries continue. We will remain highly visible in the area as investigations progress. I would encourage anyone with information to approach our officers or contact us.”
