Detectives are appealing for information and anyone with any relevant CCTV or dash cam as they investigate a suspected arson in Stockton.

At around 10.30pm on Thursday 10th September, officers were called to Outram Street in Stockton following reports that three cars were set on fire. No injuries were reported.

All three vehicles have been recovered along with a petrol can and Stockton CID is investigating the incident.

Detective Sergeant Jonathan Christie from Stockton CID said: “Enquiries are underway including reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to neighbours but we’d be keen to hear from anyone who may have information which may help our investigation.

“We’d urge members of the public to review dash cam or CCTV between 10.10pm and 10.45pm on Thursday 10th September in the areas of Outram Street, Westbourne Street, Parliament Street, Mandale Road, Victoria Bridge as well as in Thornaby and the surrounding routes.

“We’d be particularly keen to hear from anyone who has footage of a light blue older-style Ford Fiesta in those areas in the specified time as well as any suspicious activity occurring immediately before or after the fire.”
