Police are appealing for information and any relevant CCTV footage as they investigate a suspected arson in Middlesbrough.

The incident occurred at around 10.45pm on Wednesday 27th September at an address on Dalcross Court in Hemlington.

The property sustained both fire and smoke damage but thankfully no one was injured.

It was reported that two men were seen at the property moments before the incident and were witnessed going to the rear of the property. Upon their return, the property was alight. 

The first suspect is described as a male of thin build wearing dark clothing with his hood up. The second male is described as being stocky in build and again wearing dark clothing with his hood up.

Officers have been in the area this morning and have been carrying out door-to-door enquiries and additional patrols.
