A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries in a collision

in Hartlepool.

The incident happened around 3:20pm on Friday 20th March on the A179 westbound near Hart Village, in Hartlepool.

The collision involved the motorcyclist and a Kia Sportage.

The motorcyclist, a man aged in his forties, was taken to

James Cook University Hospital by air ambulance. He suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital.

It is believed there were a number of other vehicles in the

vicinity when the collision happened.

Officers would like to appeal to any witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam footage of the incident, or dash cam footage from travelling along the A179 which may show traffic conditions at the time.
