We are appealing for witnesses and footage following a fire

at a bar in Great Harwood.

Our colleagues from the fire service were called to The Vault in Queen Street at 4.36am today (16th December) following reports of a fire.

Emergency services attended and found the fire was out and everybody was accounted for.

The fire has caused significant interior damage to the property.

A joint investigation between police and the fire service has been launched to establish the cause of the fire. However, it is being treated as suspected arson at this stage.

We have a dedicated team of officers assigned to this case and they are carrying out enquiries in the area. No arrests have been made.

We know there were people and vehicles in the area around the time the fire started and we would ask people to check their dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage to see if they have captured anyone asking suspiciously in the area.

We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw two men walking together in the Queen Street and surrounding areas between 4.30am and 4.45am.
