Just after 9:30pm on Saturday 15 August, police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision involving a blue Ford Focus on Cricket Hill Lane. Emergency services attended and an 18-year-old man from Fleet was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he later sadly passed away. Another 18-year-old man suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries. Two other

people reported minor injuries. An 18-year-old man from Fleet was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

As part of our investigation, we are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, or who saw the car shortly beforehand in the A30 / A327 roundabout area, to come forward. We would particularly like to hear from anyone with relevant dash cam or CCTV footage which can be uploaded.
