At 5.20pm on Wednesday (8 July) we were called to reports of a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian in Commercial Street, Sheffield. 

Officers attended alongside colleagues from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service and Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, and a road closure was put in place from the Park Square roundabout.

A 37-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening. The driver of the bus remained at the scene and has been assisting our enquiries.

All roads affected by the collision had reopened before 9pm on Wednesday.

An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is being asked to call 101 or report online. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has relevant dash cam or CCTV footage.
