At 2.27pm yesterday (Tuesday 11 November), we were called to reports of a road traffic collision at Holme Lane.

It is reported that a white Vauxhall Combo was involved in a collision with a stationary blue Hyundai i10.

The driver of the Vauxhall, an 81-year-old man, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and is being supported by officers.

Enquiries are ongoing and we would now like to speak to anyone who saw what happened or has relevant dash cam or CCTV footage.
