We are appealing for information, footage and witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Barnsley. On Tuesday 11 November at 1.39pm, we were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Barnsley Road at the junction with Dearne Hall Road in Barugh Green. 

It is reported that a white Volkswagen Crafter and a blue Volkswagen Polo were involved in a collision. The driver of the Volkswagen Polo, an 86-year-old man, received serious injuries and is being treated in hospital. The passenger of the Volkswagen Polo, an 84-year-old woman, was also taken to hospital for injuries. As we progress with our investigation, we are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who was in the area prior to the

collision to come forward.
