We’re appealing for witnesses and those with dashcam footage to come forward and assist with our investigation into a road traffic collision in Barnsley.
Yesterday (23 June) at 12.33pm emergency services responded to Pontefract Road following reports that a pedestrian had been involved in a collision with a bus.
Initial enquiries have led officers to believe that the pedestrian, a man in his 50s was at the junction of Lambra Road when collision with the bus has occurred.
The man suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains.
Officers are keen to speak to the driver of a black Vauxhall Mokka who is believed to have witnessed the collision prior to leaving the scene.
Any other witnesses who haven’t already spoken to officers are also urged to get in touch, alongside anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the collision, or the bus and pedestrian prior to the collision.
