At 7.38pm on Wednesday (14 January) we received a call to respond to a collision on the A614 at Lindholme. It is understood that a orange Mini Cooper was travelling in the direction towards Hatfield Woodhouse when it collided with a grey Volkswagen Golf.

The driver of the Mini Cooper, a 33-year-old man was seriously injured and taken to hospital where he sadly later died from his injuries. His family has been informed, and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.

The driver of the grey Volkswagen, a woman in her 20s and a child within the vehicle suffered injuries and were taken to hospital.

Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
