On Monday 10 November around 5.45pm we received a call to report the robbery of a man on Alison Crescent.

While in the carpark of the Lidl store, it is alleged that two unknown men approached the victim and one man who is believed to have been in possession of a knife, and used the knife to take a chain from round the victim’s neck.

The two unknown men then fled the car park in the direction of Alison Crescent.

Officers were quickly on scene and detained a man in connection to the incident on suspicion of robbery and possession of a bladed weapon.

As officers progress their inquiry, they are keen to support their investigation with evidence and to hear from witnesses and those with footage of the incident.
