Yesterday (Sunday, 16 March) we received a report that the

teenager had sustained injuries to head and body after being assaulted by a

group on Tiverton Street at approximately 6.45pm.  Upon officers arrival the group had fled the area and the

teenager was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment for his injuries.  A 17-year-old boy and one adult male have since been

arrested on suspicion of assault GBH. If anyone witnessed the incident and have any information

that may assist officers with enquiries, please contact us on our non-emergency
