We are asking for your help after three incidents of exposure in Accrington yesterday evening.
The first happened in Burnley Road between 6.20pm and 6.30pm when the two teenage victims were walking towards Windsor Street.
The girls were approached by the suspect who briefly spoke to them before exposing
himself. The victims ran off.
The second incident happened in Burnley Road at around 6.30pm. The teenage victims saw the suspect stood outside the Trimz and Tanz barbers shop. The suspect removed his jeans so he was naked from the waist down.
The third incident happened in Percy Street shortly before6.40pm when a man exposed himself in front of the victim who was sat in his vehicle. Our officers quickly attended the area but the suspect was not found.
The incidents are being treated as linked and the suspect is described as white, potentially around 6ft tall, in his 40s or 50s and was wearing dark clothing.
We know that these incidents shocked the victims and will be concerning to the public. We have increased reassurance patrols in the area and that will continue over the coming days.
We are doing everything we can to identify and detain the individual responsible. We have had a number of officers in the area today carrying out enquiries, including trying to identify footage which may have captured the suspect in the area.
