Earlier today we told you about a serious assault which happened in Preston.

We were called at around 6.15am today to a report of an assault on Ribbleton Hall Drive, near to Moor Nook Primary School.

Our officers attended and found that a man in his 50s had suffered serious injuries. He was taken to hospital.

A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of

attempted murder and is currently in custody.

We have become aware that there are videos of certain aspects of this incident circulating on social media.
