At around 3am this morning Wednesday 30 March, officers were called to reports that three males were breaking into McColl’s on Pecker’s Hill road in St Helens and money was stolen from the cash machine. It was reported that the suspects drove off in a black four door hatchback that was parked at the side of the shop.  

Officers attended the store and saw that the ATM machine was dismantled and emptied of its contents. A Black Ford Transit was left at the scene. Officers remain at Peckers Hill Road and a cordon is in place this morning to conduct continued enquiries including witnesses and CCTV footage.
