Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a fatal two car collision.

The crash happened in Lincoln Road, East Markham, around 6.47am on Wednesday (4 September).

One of the drivers, a 57-year-old man from Derbyshire, died at the scene.

The other driver, a 29-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening and is assisting police with their inquiries.

Case investigator Louise Melbourne, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who has sadly died.

“His family is being supported by specialist trained officers at this incredibly difficult time.

"We are still in the early stages of our investigation and we are asking that anyone who saw the incident or may have captured anything on dashcam around the time of the collision to please come forward to help us understand what happened.”
