Operation Crackdown is an initiative run by Sussex Safer Roads Partnership, providing an opportunity for the public to report specific instances of anti-social driving & road traffic offences supported by video evidence. Your reports help give us an oversight of when and where anti-social driving incidents in Sussex are occurring.

If you have witnessed an incident - excluding a collision - and wish to submit footage that you believe may be evidential of a road traffic offence, please fill out the form below. If the footage relates to a non-injury collision, then contact your insurance company. If injuries have been sustained by any party, please report via 101.

The form includes; a statement declaration, a segment asking for your details, information relating to the incident, and the accused offender's vehicle, that we may rely on in any subsequent court proceedings, along with a tick box to confirm you agree with the conditions of submitting digital evidence to the Operation Crackdown team. Please note some fields within the response form are mandatory*.

On completion of the statement and agreement, you will then be directed to upload the footage, which will be assessed by the Op Crackdown team who will consider the most appropriate course of action.

When uploading your footage please ensure there is a minute of footage both prior to and after the incident you are reporting occurs.

Importantly the Operation Crackdown team's decision is final. By completing the declaration and agreeing to the conditions you agree to abide by our decision and where required, attend court to give evidence.

Following submission, you will receive a unique reference number on the final page; please make note of this number in case you need it for further correspondence.  Please note, you cannot use this reference number to check the progress of your case. The submission portal has been designed to deal with single incidents.

Once your report has been processed, a further reference number will be sent to the email address provided. This second number (not beginning APL) can be used to check the progress of your case on the Operation Crackdown website.

The submission forms are easy to complete and so to prevent confusion, Operation Crackdown will only deal with individual reports. Reports containing multiple allegations will be rejected by e-mail with the submitter asked to resubmit each incident.

We respectfully ask you not to contact us on 101, 999, or online as other departments will not be able to advise you on the status of your submission.

Thank you for helping us keep the roads of Sussex safe.
