Witness appeal following disorder – Oxford

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following
disorder in Oxford city centre.
Just after 6.15pm on Saturday (19/9), officers were called to reports of a fight involving two groups of men in Frideswide Square, Oxford,
outside Domino’s Pizza.
We have also received reports of an earlier fight in Becket Street, Oxford, and we believe the two incidents may be linked. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of both incidents.
It is believed that the disorder involved rival supporters following the Oxford United v Cambridge United fixture earlier that day. The groups reportedly came together before the disorder spilled from Becket Street into Frideswide Square and the surrounding roadway.
These incidents took place in a busy part of the city centre, and there were a number of members of the public nearby. We know some people appeared to be filming the disorder, and there were also vehicles passing through the area as the fight moved into the road and caused disruption.
