We were called to North Bridge Road, Doncaster, at 1.50pm on Friday (13 March) following reports of a collision. 

Officers attended and found a white Toyota Estima car had been in collision with a mobility scooter in the street. The rider of the mobility scooter, an 85-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition. 

The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and has been assisting officers with enquiries. A section of North Bridge Road was closed for several hours. It reopened around 6.45pm.
