We’re appealing for witnesses and those with dashcam footage to come forward and assist with our investigation into a road traffic collision in Rotherham.

On Saturday (27 June) at 10.18am, we received reports of a collision on Haugh Road, in Rawmarsh.

It is reported a white Vauxhall Vivaro van and a blue Victory Hammer motorcycle were involved in a collision.

The driver of the van, a 62-year-old man, sadly died at the scene.

His family has been informed and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.

The rider of the motorbike was taken to hospital with serious injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.

We are keen to hear from any witnesses who have not yet spoken to officers, or anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage of the collision, or the car prior to the collision.
