We are appealing for witnesses, footage and information following a serious road traffic collision in Barnsley.

At 4.45am today (Monday 3 November) it is reported that a black Citroen C3 and a red Audi A3 were involved in a collision on Bank End Road in Worsbrough, Barnsley.

The driver of the Citroen, a 32-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries that are believed to be life-threatening.

His family has been informed and is being supported.

A 17-year-old boy, 31-year-old man, and 27-year-old woman received minor injuries.
