Yesterday, Thursday 29 January, just before 6am we were alerted by the ambulance service to reports of a collision on Cumberland Drive in Ardsley.

Roads policing officers attended and initial enquiries led them to believe that a man was riding his pink coloured moped along the road when he has collided with a kerb and fallen from his bike.

The man, aged 37 was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in a life threatening condition.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to officers, or those with footage of the bike and rider prior to the collision.
