Yesterday (29 April) at 4.18pm, roads policing officers responded to Wadworth Street following reports a Volkswagen Passett had been involved in a collision with a child on a scooter.

The child, aged 10, was taken to hospital with serious injuries where she remains.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and is co-operating with officers and our enquiries.

We are keen to hear from anyone who is yet to speak to officers, or may have footage of the car, or child prior to the collision.
