We were called at 8.16pm following a report of a collision involving a black Mercedes van and a blue Yamaha motorbike on the A19 Doncaster Road at the junction where it meets Sutton Road.

An 18-year-old man, who was riding the motorbike, was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries.The driver of the van remained at the scene and has been assisting our officers with their enquiries.

An investigation has been launched and we are now appealing for anyone with information about this collision to please get in touch with us.We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it and is yet to make contact with us.
