In the early hours of this morning (13 December) at 2.40am, emergency services responded to a road traffic collision on Todwick Road.

It is understood that a silver Toyota Corolla was travelling away from Dinnington, towards Todwick when it has left the carriageway and collided with a tree.

The driver, a 17-year-old girl and her passenger, a 17-year-old boy were pronounced dead the scene. Their families have been informed and are being supported by officers.

A second passenger, a 18 year-old man was seriously injured and taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

We are investigating the circumstances of the collision and are keen to speak to witnesses, those with footage of the collision or the car prior to colliding, or any information that you believe can assist officers.
