Over the weekend, at 8.44pm on Saturday 24 January, we were called to a report of a collision involving a blue Ford Focus and a pedestrian on Northfield Road, near the junction where it meets Heavygate Road.

The pedestrian, a 15-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains. 

The driver of the Focus remained at the scene and has been cooperating with our investigation.

Following a number of enquiries, we are now appealing to the public to ask for anyone with information about this collision or any witnesses to please get in contact with us.

We are particularly keen to hear from anyone with relevant doorbell, dashcam or CCTV footage from around the time of the collision.
