Appeal after boy robbed and assaulted in Hartlepool

Cleveland Police is appealing for information and any
relevant CCTV footage after a 16-year-old boy was robbed and assaulted in Hartlepool.

The incident occurred at around 3.10pm on Saturday 13th April at Summerhill Country Park in Hartlepool.

It was reported that five unknown males assaulted the victim and stole his backpack as he walked along the Backfields path towards the park’s visitor centre. The victim was left with facial injuries.

The males have then made off from the scene running along
the Backfields path towards the direction of Elwick Road in Hartlepool.

A white car was also seen in the area at the time driving
along Catcote Road prior to this incident.

The suspects have been described as:·      
- Male 1: white, of slim build, early 20s, with brown hair, wearing a black cap and a yellow coat·     
- Male 2: white, of stocky build, early 20s, with brown short hair, wearing a black coat and black jeans ·       
- Male 3: white, of stocky build, aged between 40 to 50-years-old, with a grey beard, wearing a grey jacket and a red beanie

There are no known descriptions of the other two males.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may
have captured the suspects described on CCTV or dashcam, to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 067093.
