Appeal after Group Attack on Man in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing after a man suffered injuries when he
was attacked by a group of men on Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough.
The incident happened around 9pm on Saturday 27th September outside the Kebab Centre. Following a verbal altercation, a 38-year-old man was assaulted by a large group of males, described as being of Asian appearance.

The man suffered significant injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening. He remains in hospital and requires surgery for injuries to his ankle. He also suffered a black eye and cuts and bruises to his head.
Anyone who saw the incident, the males involved or has any
