A man has sadly died following a collision in Middlesbrough yesterday, Thursday 9th April.

The collision happened at around 12:30pm on the A66 westbound, between the interchanges of Hartington Road and Newport Road, involving a pedestrian and a HGV.Extensive enquiries are ongoing to identify the man as quickly as possible.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who may have dash cam footage is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 066163.
