Cleveland Police is appealing for information and witnesses following an assault in Redcar which left a woman with facial injuries.

Officers received a report that a group of females assaulted

another female at around 1am on Sunday 12th November at Aruba nightclub on Redcar High Street.

During the assault, an unknown substance was thrown at the victim's face causing multiple burns and she was taken to hospital for treatment.

Enquiries are currently ongoing into the incident.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with relevant footage to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 23224726.
