Appeal Following Collision in Norton

Police are appealing after a report of a collision in Norton.

The incident happened between 1:15pm and 1:30pm on Friday 13th May on the A1027 in Norton, near to the traffic lights at the Glebe shops. 

A 17-year-old female pedestrian and her dog were in collision
with a light blue vehicle, similar to a Renualt Captur, which was being driven from the direction of the A19 along the A1027 towards Stockton. 

The driver of the vehicle did not stop to give their details. They are described as an older female with grey hair. Officers would
ask this woman to come forward and speak with them regarding the incident. 

The pedestrian and her dog were unharmed, however, the girl has been left very shaken by the incident.  

Any witnesses or anyone with information regarding the incident or the driver of the vehicle, or anyone who may have dash cam footage, is asked to contact PC Poppy Fisher on 101, quoting incident number 080909.
