Appeal following two burglaries and an attempted robbery in Saltburn

Officers are appealing for any information, witnesses and any relevant dash cam footage as they investigate two burglaries and an attempted robbery in Saltburn.
The first incident occurred on Milton Street, Saltburn, at around 6.30pm on Saturday 7th June when it was reported that a man entered an address and demanded the occupant’s car keys.
Whilst he didn’t take the car keys, he stole a dog lead before fleeing the property and entering another house on the same road where he stole the occupant’s house keys.
The man has then headed towards the crossroads of Milton Street, Marine Parade and Hilda Place before approaching a woman and demanding she hand over her car keys.
The victim ran away from the suspect who caught up with her near to the Saltburn House Hotel where he grabbed her and attempted to prise her car keys from her hand.
Members of the public rushed to the victim’s aid and the man made off on Marine Parade towards the direction of Coral Street and the town centre.
The suspect is described as a white male, of slim build, who was around 5”9 tall with a local accent.
He was wearing a grey tracksuit with his hood up which was tight around his face, and had dark-coloured eyes, a slim long nose and stubbly facial hair which looked fair in colour.
