Appeal for information and dash cam after man left with facial injuries in Hartlepool

Officers are appealing for information and any witnesses following an incident in Hartlepool which left a man with facial injuries.

The incident occurred on Belle Vue Way in Hartlepool near Tesco’s petrol station at around 11.40pm on Sunday 21st December.

It was reported that three to four males approached a stationary red Suzuki and began demanding information from the male driver about a Polo.

The males then began smashing the vehicle with weapons and one of the men punched the driver in the face with a knife in his hand, causing a small laceration.

One of the males was wearing glasses and a black North Face coat with his hood up. Another male was wearing all-black clothing and had a black balaclava on with red stitching around the face.

Extensive enquiries are currently underway, and officers are appealing for information, any witnesses, and anyone with dash cam or CCTV within the area of that time.
